One Room Tudor

ca. 1906-1909

Around 1906, William and Milia Case constructed a Tudor style building on the shell mound with half-timbering, a gable roof and multi-paned casement windows.  The building served as their kitchen while they lived off-shore on a houseboat. A  concrete water cistern was located south of the structure. A few ceiling joists are all that presently remain of the Tudor house. A reconstruction of this building and the water cistern are planned as part of the restoration of the William H. Case House beginning in 2007.
